Since the Philippines' Taal volcano erupted , disaster authorities order thousands of residents to evacuate. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) announced that the Taal Volcano, which is 65 kilometers south of the capital Manila, erupted at 7:22 a.m. on Saturday. The institute explained that additional explosions are expected, and tsunami occurrence is also feared, including damage caused by toxic gases and volcanic ash.

The Philippines is located in the Pacific Rim Earthquake Zone, called the Ring of Fire, and is a country with frequent earthquakes and volcanic activity. After the eruption of the Taal volcano, steam magma continued to erupt, soaring to 1.5 kilometers above. Earlier, the volcano to be burned caused a large-scale explosion in January last year, soaring volcanic ash up to 15 kilometers into the air. In addition, dozens of houses disappeared and tens of thousands of victims occurred due to the lava flowing down at that time. In July last year, there were signs of an explosion, and a third-phase warning was issued. At that time, sulfur dioxide erupted for several days, forming a huge cloud of smoke over the entire area around Manila, the capital.

The disaster authorities ordered thousands of residents of five vulnerable villages near the volcano to evacuate, while mobilizing police to prevent them from entering dangerous areas. According to recent official figures, a total of 12,000 people live near the Taal volcano. The authorities also raised the danger alert for volcanic activity from the previous second stage to the third stage. Step 3 means that magma is near the surface or up to the surface, which can lead to dangerous explosions within weeks. The disaster authorities said the eruption of steam and ash had stopped for hours after the eruption. However, it is said that further eruptions could occur as volcanic earthquake activity continues to be detected.
