Thus, at the heart of the commemoration lay a poignant truth: the freedom we cherish today in South Korea was purchased at a high price—the blood, sweat, and tears of those who fought tirelessly on our behalf. Their courage transcended borders, their sacrifice transcended time, leaving an unforgettable mark on our conscience. As I listened to the older generation slowly join the singing by the younger generation’s choir, I was in awe: the events of the Korean War will never be forgotten, as we have collectively endured it as a culture.
