Anyone who has ever lived in San Francisco will agree with the parking problem.

Some people even give up buying cars because parking issues

There are normally two ways to approach parking problem.

First, Most parking lot is highly paid. In San Francisco, it is difficult to find free parking lots. Most of the paid parking lots costs a lot. In general, you have to pay about $10 per hour.

Second, Physical space to park itself is limited. Especially late in the evening, You can’t find a space to park, if you seek to find space for hours.

Further, When you do the ‘street parking’, there are two things you have to check; No parking for Street Cleaning and Hour parking time.

No Parking literally means you shouldn't park at designated time because of street cleaning. It’s normally once or twice a week.

Hour parking time lets you know the maximum time that you can park at once.

Public officials regularly check parked cars to find out violators of rule.

So you should not consider yourself that you are not going to be caught. If you park recklessly like you do in Korea, you have to pay a large amount of fine. Violation of any of the two above will result in a fine between $80 and $100.

As San Francisco is particularly crowded city, traffic regulations are severely strict. You have to check rules once again before visiting this city.
