Chinatown in San Francisco is not only the largest but also the oldest Chinatown in the United States.
From 1850, Chinatown is a place where descendants of immigrants from Guangdong, gathered and formed. In April 1906, when Great San Francisco earthquake occurred, Chinese workers started to earnestly migrate from China to build railroads and bridges.Representatively, numerous Chinese workers were put in the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, which served as an opportunity for them to flow into the United States on a large scale.
